Local Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty cars have been smeared with what seems to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to police.
Vehicles, walls and postboxes were defaced, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.
Officers state they were notified late on Wednesday night, when a individual noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored fluid.
The fluid had been placed in the shape of a banned symbol, they reported.
Officers then located multiple other smeared automobiles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.
Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under laws banning the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.
Law enforcement report preliminary tests show the fluid was likely human blood.
"At present there remains no indication as to its origin; investigators are not yet aware of any harm in association with the incident," they stated.
Municipal representatives stated they were working "to unravel the case" and have appealed to the community for information.
An important political figure stated the attack left him stunned and required to be solved rapidly.
"This act strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the right-wing violent incident half a decade ago," he stated on a platform, recalling the killing of nine victims by a assailant focusing on residents of foreign heritage in 2020.
