AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a bizarre partnership that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the official statement, "A mysterious encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of banned ceremonies and monstrous transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret cult.
The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana together with numerous items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
